Connie Lanette Johnson Moore, daughter of William Robert and Frances Pope Johnson, was born June 30, 1947, in Wilson, North Carolina.
She is the sister of and sister of Gerald Johnson, Raymond Johnson, Marsha Barfield and Renee Futch.
Connie was a 1965 graduate of Selma High School in Selma, North Carolina. She attended Campbell College in Buies Creek, North Carolina, and graduated from East Carolina University in Greenville, North Carolina, with a degree in elementary education.
Connie married Clifton Ray Moore on April 23, 1971, in South Carolina.
Connie and Clifton had one daughter, Dodie Moore Headley.
Dodie was born on May 27, 1972, in Johnston County, North Carolina. She married Cole Headley on June 6, 1998, in Selma, North Carolina.
Dodie and Cole have two children, Grayson Headley and Lanie Headley, Connie's two grandchildren.
Connie was a member of the First Baptist Church in Selma, North Carolina, and was a retired employee of the Johnston County School System.
Connie was a member of the Johnston County Genealogical Society and the Johnston County Historical Society. She was a member of the Johnston County Retired School Personnel Association and served as secretary for the Johnston County Retired School Personnel Association.
Connie died at 70 on Jan. 10, 2018, at her home in Selma, North Carolina.
Connie is buried in Selma Memorial Gardens in Selma, North Carolina.

Connie Lanette Johnson Moore, 70, of Selma, passed away on Wednesday, January 10, 2018 at her home. She was born on June 30, 1947 in Wilson County to the late William Robert Johnson and Frances Pope Johnson. Connie was a retired employee of the Johnston County School System and a member of First Baptist Church in Selma. She was a member of the Johnston County Genealogical Society and the Johnston County Historical Society. Connie was also a member of the Johnston County Retired School Personnel Association and served as secretary for the Johnston County Retired School Personnel Association.
Connie is survived by her husband, Clifton Ray Moore; daughter, Dodie Headley and husband, Cole; grandchildren, Grayson Headley and Lanie Headley; sister, Marsha Barfield and husband, Jerry; brother, Gerald Johnson and wife, Linda; brother, Raymond Johnson and wife, Linda; sister, Renee Futch and husband, Steve; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 13, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Selma with the Rev. Dr. John Hedgepeth officiating. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 12:30 p.m. until 1:45 p.m. at the church prior to the service. Burial will follow in Selma Memorial Gardens.
