Kellen Stancil, son of Cathy and Mark Stancil of Pleasanton, Calif., made it past the New York audition for 'So You Think You Can Dance.'

Kellen is the grandson of 'Ted' Theodore Rudolph Stancil, great grandson of George Guy Stancil (Henry/Oscar), Guy was the older brother of Gurnie Stancil Crabtree, Ruth Stancil Janiuk, James 'Jim' Orville Stancil, Henry Rudolph Stancil, Ruby Stancil Creech and Jack Roland Stancil. Gurnie, Jim and Ruby attended the 2008 Stancil Reunion.

Mark, his Grandma Frances, Aunt Kathleen Stancil Akau and first cousin Josiah Akau attended the 2006 Stancil Reunion.

Guy joined the Army and was sent to Hawaii. Guy fell in love with a Hawaiian beauty, Frances Kanohola DeMello. They had three children Doug, Ted and Kathleen. Hawaii is home. Kellen lives in New York City and has been in the traveling production of the Lion King.
