Ruby Wells, daughter of Noyce and Elizabeth Stancil Wells, was born Jan. 5, 1930, in Wilson, North Carolina.
Samuel Roland "Sam" Parrish on March 11, 1946.
Ruby worked as an assembler for Fieldcrest Mills in Smithfield for 29 years before her retirement.
Her children include Samuel "Sammy" Roland Parrish Jr., Linda Gale Parrish Poole, Bobby Carroll Parrish, Elmer Ray Parrish, Faye Parrish Langston and Kaye Parrish Talton.
Ruby died at 74 on April 8, 2004, at Johnston Memorial Hospital in Smithfield, North Carolina. She was preceded in death by her husband Sam. Ruby is buried in the Parrish Memorial Church Cemetery.
