Ruth Ann Bowes, second daughter of Clayton and Patricia Ann Stancil Bowes, was born Aug. 2, 1950.

Her siblings are "Cheri" Cheryl A. Willard Repecko, Sandra "Sandy" Louise Bowes Kelly and "Skip" Clayton Lewis Bowes Jr.

Ruth Ann was a bus driver in Woburn, Massachusetts, for more than 30 years.

She married Thomas "Tom" Vincent Callinan Jr. on June 21, 1983, in Woburn, Massachusetts. He was born Sept. 5, 1940, in Boston. He is the son of the late Thomas V. and Dorothy (Ames) Callinan Sr.

He attended St. Charles School, Keith Academy, and earned a bachelor's degree as well as his law degree from St. Anselm College in Manchester, N.H. Thomas maintained a private law practice for many years and, following his retirement, worked for Checker Cab Co.

She enjoyed spending time with her family -- having good meals and going to Foxwoods to gamble.

Tom was a member of the Lynn Yacht Club and enjoyed tuna fishing during the summers at Menemsha on Martha's Vineyard.

Following a lengthy illness of several months, Tom died April 17, 2007, in Pine Hill Cemetery, in Dover, New Hampshire.

In 2011, she and her sisters Cheri and Sandy and their families attended the Stancil Family Reunion in Kenly, North Carolina. They especially loved reuniting with Laura Edwards and her family off Pinkney Church Road.

Her beloved sister Cheri passed away at 74 on Jan. 28, 2021, surrounded by family at her home in Lynn, Massachusetts.

Ruth Ann passed away Aug. 10, 2021, in her home in Woburn, Massachusetts. She is buried beside her husband Tom in Pine Hill Cemetery, in Dover, New Hampshire.
