Born on November 4, 1942, in Norfolk, Virginia, William Manley Creech Sr. was the only son of Worth and Olympia Parham Creech. He spent his formative years in Norfolk, where he was raised and attended local schools. Manley distinguished himself as a student, graduating from Norview High School in Norfolk in 1961.

Family and Personal Life

Manley found his life partner in Donna Elaine Jackson, whom he married on June 11, 1966, in Charlottesville, Virginia. Donna, born in Lynn, Massachusetts, was the daughter of Tenho and Ruth Lurchin Jackson and pursued a career as a registered nurse. Together, Manley and Donna built a family, welcoming two sons: William Manley "Lee" Creech Jr., and Matthew Jackson Creech. Sadly, Matthew passed away on March 30, 2006.

Beyond his family life, Manley held a strong appreciation for music and photography. He also enjoyed skiing, a hobby that likely brought him joy and a connection to the outdoors.

Career and Later Years

Throughout the majority of his professional life, Manley Creech Sr. worked as both a contractor and in the real estate industry, demonstrating a keen entrepreneurial spirit.

William Manley Creech Sr. passed away at the age of 80 on Monday, June 26, 2023, in Virginia Beach, Virginia. He was laid to rest in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.
