Glenn Clinton Kelly, second son of Jerome Clinton and Mildred Stancil Kelly, was born Oct. 23, 1937, in Wilson County, North Carolina.

Glenn is brother to J.C. Kelly, Butch Kelly, Ann Etheridge and Rose Southern.

Rachel Sasser Kelly was born May 6, 1944, in Wilson. She is the daughter of Lafayette and Pearl Collins Sasser.

Rachel is sister to Ralph Sasser and Faye Davis.

In her younger years, Rachel enjoyed playing basketball in high school and later participated in bowling and softball leagues as an adult.

Married April 6, 1963, Glenn and Rachel were married for nearly 60 years prior to Rachel's passing.

They have two children, Michael Glenn Kelly and Sharon Kelly Bissette-Martin, and one grandson, Corey Bissette.

Rachel dedicated her career to education, working as a teacher's assistant at Vinson-Bynum Elementary and Forest Hills Middle School. She specialized in providing support to exceptional children.

Rachel died at 78 on Nov. 2, 2022, and is buried in Evergreen Memorial Park in Wilson.

Glenn died at 86 on Oct. 19, 2024, in Wilson, and is also buried in Evergreen Memorial Park.
