Milton Vann Price was born on January 10, 1954, in Wilson County, North Carolina. He was the son of the late Fletcher and Ora Stancil Price, and the grandson of Stephen and Ronia Hill Stancil.
Vann, as he was known, dedicated nearly 40 years of his professional life to the North Carolina Department of Transportation, where he served as a supervisor. His long and dedicated service was recognized with the prestigious "Order of the Long Leaf Pine."
Beyond his work, Vann was described as someone who deeply loved life and people. He was also an enthusiastic fan of Tarheel basketball. In his later years, he especially cherished his role as "Pappy" to his granddaughter Carson, finding great joy in watching her grow over the last eight years of his life.
Vann was the father of two sons, Ryan Price and Stewart Price, and the grandfather of Carson Price. He was the brother of Lucille Price and Gail Stancil, and the late Donnie Ray Price.
Milton Vann Price passed away at the age of 66 on September 11, 2020, at his home in Kenly, North Carolina. He is buried at the New Jerusalem Free Will Baptist Church in Kenly.
