Bruce Narron

Bruce Narron, the oldest child of Willard and Annie Bailey Narron, was born April 14, 1933, in Johnston County, North Carolina.

His siblings are Rexall Narron, Gladys Narron, Ella Narron, Wallace Narron, Evonne Narron, and William Willis Narron.

Bruce married Judy Dale Dunn in 1960. Julia "Judy" Dale Dunn Narron, the daughter of the late George Dunn and the late Iola Mae Pribble, was born Aug. 16, 1943, in Virginia.

Bruce and Judy were members of New Jerusalem Free Will Baptist Church in Kenly, North Carolina.

Bruce became a building contractor. His brothers often worked with him.

They had two sons, Chuck Eugene Narron (Nov. 17, 1961 Norfolk, VA-Jan. 14, 1992 Wilson, NC) and Steven "Steve" Dale Narron Sr. (Sept. 29, 1966 Johnston, NC-June 10, 2023 Kenly, NC).

Chuck moved to Virginia for some time and married a girl. They had a son named William Cahoon, using his mother's maiden name, in 1979. Chuck later married Brenda Sue Barnes Carter on Dec. 18, 1981, and Janice Elaine Hales Baggett on Sept. 14, 1987, in Portsmouth.

Bruce and Judy are grandparents of William Cahoon, Steven Dale Narron Jr., Bryan Keith Narron, and Dustin Chuck Narron.

Judy died at 70 on at Johnston Health Medical Center in Smithfield on Aug. 7, 2014. She is buried in the New Jerusalem Free Will Baptist Church cemetery. 

Bruce died at 91 on Sept. 7, 2024, at Kitty Askins Hospice Center in Goldsboro, North Carolina. He is buried next to his wife in the New Jerusalem Free Will Baptist Church cemetery.

Bruce's life was marked by his commitment to his family and his contributions to the community.
