Oct. 26, 2010:
Gurnie Patricia Stancil
Crabtree, great-granddaughter of John Thomas Stancil, granddaughter of
Henry, daughter of Oscar and mother of Jane, Guy and Charlie,
passed away on Tuesday, Oct. 26, 2010, in Durham, N.C. Gurnie was 96, but
would have turned 97 on Wednesday, Oct. 27, 2010.
Clements Funeral Home in Durham, N.C., will be handling arrangements. The visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday at 9th Street, in Durham, N.C., and the funeral will be at 11 a.m. on Friday at Bethany UM Church at 2809 Guess Road in Durham, N.C.

Oct. 24, 2010:
Garland Stancil, son of Harvey and Bertha, husband of Doris, father of
Katie and George passed away
on Sunday, Oct. 24, 2010, in the VA Hospital in Durham. Garland was 92 years old. Parrish Funeral Home in Selma is in charge of arrangements.
The service will be at 3 p.m. on Tuesday in Selma.
