William served in the Air Force for four years, stationed in Germany, starting in 1968. He lived in Tallahassee, Florida, from 1994 to 2020. William enjoyed a career in computer software management. He was born Feb. 19, 1928, in Monson, Maine. He is the son of the late Claude and Hazel Grover Sidelinger, husband of the late Eloise Hill Sidelinger, brother of the late Max and grandfather of the late Sara Elizabeth. He is the grandfather of Richard, Beck, Lauren, Sarah Catherine, Emilie, Carolyn, Troy and Victoria and great-grandfather of Walker and Kenai. He served in the Marine Corps from 1945 until being honorably discharged in 1948. Days after marrying Eloise on Sept. 30, 1950, he was recalled to active duty and stationed at Cherry Point, North Carolina, until 1952. He was active in many organizations, including Wilson Jaycees and the Wilson County Antique Dealers Association. (Millard)
